Safety Tips for Safe Riding: Watch the No-Zones. Never hang out in a vehicles blind spot or "No-Zone". When passing, get around the vehicle as quickly as possible. Wear a Helmet: Make sure that your helmet meets DOT standards. If it doesn't, replace it! Drive to Survive: Motorcycles are the smallest vehicles on the road. They provide no protection in a crash. Other drivers may not see you. Pay extra attention to your surroundings and ride cautiously and defensively. Check your bike: Conduct a safety inspection before each ride. The T-Clock inspection was created by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation use it as a memory and organization guide for a pre-ride safety check of a motorcycle. Each letter represents a particular inspection category, as follows:
T - Tires and Wheels
C - Controls
L - Lights and Electrical
O - Oil
C - Chassis
K - Kickstand
Wear proper riding gear to help reduce the severity of injury in case you go down. Watch your speed: Since motorcycles are the smallest vehicle on the road, they also accelerate the fastest. Adhere to the laws of the road. Be SAFE!
Ride Defensively!
